Taken in 2025 on Roupell Street, London

This work reflects a street originally built to house working families, now embedded within the city’s cultural and cinematic landscape.

Created on pure cotton handmade paper, the piece is constructed through multiple layers of archival emulsions and hand-applied textures. Pigment-based inks and finishes are worked directly into the surface, producing a tactile image where material and photograph converge. Each work is individually made, with variations inherent to the process.

Developed over more than two years, the method allows the work to be displayed without glass. The surface is varnished for physical durability and UV protection. The image presents a softened view of the street, where façades, doorways and passing movement are reduced to tone and rhythm. Detail gives way to suggestion, holding a sense of places shaped by routine and use rather than spectacle.

Framed in a thin 6 mm, 40 mm deep dark brown frame, the piece measures 93 × 63 cm, with the artwork itself at 91 × 61 cm. Each work is supplied with a signed Certificate of Authenticity and an embossed signature mark.

Framed size: 93 × 63 cm
