Echo
Taken in 2024, Studio, London
Created on pure cotton handmade paper, this work is sculpted through layers of archival emulsions and textures applied by hand, forming a tactile surface where image and material merge. Pigment-based inks and hand-applied finishes make each piece one of a kind and truly exceptional. Limited to just five handcrafted editions, no two are ever identical. Developed over more than two years, this technique allows the work to be displayed without glass, as it is varnished for both physical and UV protection. However, if a glass front is preferred, a gallery-standard non-reflective glass is recommended.
Echo portrays a single flower caught between decay and grace. Its folds and curves seem to hold the echo of a moment long gone, a whisper of beauty that endures beyond its time. The tactile surface deepens this quiet transformation, allowing the work to shift between stillness and presence.
Framed in deep matte black using Lion moulding, the piece measures 62 × 52 cm, while the handmade work itself is 42 × 32 cm. Designed to be displayed without glass, the varnished surface enhances tone and protects its layered texture. Each work comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity and an embossed signature mark, verifying its originality and craftsmanship.
