Chalk and Tar

This collection features unique photography pieces made using a technique I’ve been developing for over a year. Each piece starts with handmade, cotton-based paper that is carefully treated with emulsions and textures to enhance the character of the final look. These treatments bring depth and detail to the image while creating a tactile quality that invites closer appreciation. The process ensures that every piece is one of a kind, blending image and material into a distinctive artwork.

The artwork is available for purchase framed or unframed at the same price. The dimensions of the artwork are A2 (42 x 59.4 cm), while the overall size when framed is 50 x 70 cm. The standard frames feature non-reflective fronts and mounts cut specifically to complement each piece. However, you may also choose to purchase the artwork unframed and have it custom-framed by your local framer, who may offer solutions better suited to your space and style. The textures and the quality of the art truly shine when framed with non-reflective art glass, though it is equally suitable for display without any glass or acrylic. The price remains the same whether you choose the current budget frame or the print only.
